I have the dash all apart and just noticed that even when the ac/heat selection dial is in the "top" off position the fan motor will still blow at whatever the speed is set at. Is this normal, or do I have a bad switch, relay, hose or something? It is a 96 RT10

Explaining Viper things to you
Just looked at the wiring diagrams in my '01 book. The fan comes from the fuse, then the speed switch, then through the mode selector switch, then to ground to complete the circuit. I would guess your mode switch is bad assuming your car works at least fundamentally like my '01.

Thanks Dave. It must be the module. In the off postion, I can turn the fan to any speed and it will run. It blows defrost and heat ducts.
