Well just recieved the 96 GTS last night and it definetly is blue
lots of purple in that paint and takes on different looks in
different light.I still have my 97 GTS and it is very red and white .
So it was weird driving the blue and white looking out over the hood
and seeing the blue with white stripes.Took delivery in between rain
storms so did not get any really good pictures yet but will post them
when I have some time.
I bought this car to remaine stock,it is a low milage
5800 miles unmolested and in perfect shape it still has that new car
smell.First things I notiticed The leather seats have not been massaged with leather care products the weather striping around the doors still
has like a white powder on them like they just came out of the box.
and the interior seems to creak a little more going over a bump.
The car seems very tight and seems to ride just a little bit stiffer.
Power wise seems as good and the engine sounds great.Pulled in the
garage and next to my red and white GTS .Some obvious slight differences
are the two piece moulding outside the side windows were the 97 gts is
a one piece.Oil dip stick is different in that it has a rubber grommet
on the 97 GTs were as the 96 has nothing to really hold it in the dip
stick hole.In 96 the alarm button for the hood is in front of the passenger
side hood spring with a rubber ajustment nut.Couple of pieces of thin
rubber stripes that are not there compared to the 97 gts on the inside
of the front facia.
Then that got me to thinking how far my red gts has come.
The corsa exhuast really is alot louder and it crackles and burbbls and
really makes the V10 sound great ,tinted windows, chrome gts wheels,
painted cowl hand massaged leather seats somtimes as you add
little bits here and there you forget how they used to be.
Its great to have both the cars will post pictures when able.
