I need to make a get a spare key and remote. I know that the standard dodge key blanks work on the viper. Is this also true for the remotes? These are going to be spares, and will likely sit in the back of a draw somewhere so I don't want to spend the extra money just to have a viper symbol stamped on them if not needed.

Thanks,
Bill

Um, I think the standard Dodge Key blank will work on the Viper. At least I have a couple that myself that work fine. (and vice versa - the viper key will work on several other dodge models)
I think the key fob has to be a Viper (don't quote me!) to get the right frequency....

2002 - You have to put a jumper wire into the computer control plug under the dash and follow some steps. Search the Forums, there are some step by step instructions out there I have seen posted several times...

You will also have to reprogram your current remote at the same time. Anytime you go through the reprogram procedure you have to do all of your remotes at the same time. Otherwise it will lock out your old remote (Very good in case you have lost a remote somewhere....)
