Would those of you with superchargers running about 550 - 600 RWHP; 625 - 675 RWTQ and street tires please post your launch technique. For example, do you "ease" your car off the line and then roll into the pedal? What about the first to second shift? How do you maintain traction? Thank you in advance for sharing.

I just went to an 8# (652 TQ) and solved that problem with some BFG drag radials. Massive improvement over the Pilots on the street. I could never master the launch on the street tires. I did find easing into the throttle limited spin better than dropping from 2300-2500. There are a lot of guy on here that are much better drivers and will answer this better. Did want to share the tire info. Good luck.

Other than when competing in some street tire only competition, I would think if you've got a supercharger, it's time for some drag radials...

The best technique is to just roll into it and let out the gas when the tires begin to spin or just solve the problem with some V700 Kuhmos all around or BFG drag radials.

I have a 6.5lb system in the mail, so I am interested myself. What I can say is that I have the BFGs now and launch at 3500 RPM. Before, I spun wildly with the Pilots, but now it seems like I bog a little (I currently have 422RWHP/464RWTQ). Granted, the tires were WELL warmed up and the track was prepped well. With the Roe system, I am thinking I'll have to back the RPMs down on the lauch or else I'll be just like stock with Pilots.

But, then again, I am not the best drag racer. Good luck and please let us know if you find a good way to launch!
