After reading so many great comments on striped cars, I decided to go for it. Special thanks for the input and especially 1MEANSNAKE who did a fantastic job. I know he spent over a dozen hours making it look great. Voila!

To me it looks great! I know some of you guys don't enjoy stripes. You don't have to tell me, let me enjoy my moment. Ahhhh. :)

It was just too much trying to form them under the rear fascia and make it look perfect. I have some extra vinyl and will probably fool around with it this summer. It is more work than I ever expected!

Nice!!!
I didn't carry the stripes through the license plate recess either, although I did carry down the rear bumper and fascia. The '02 FE's have the stripes shy of the plate recess so we just followed that layout.
Looks real nice... You have nice friends, hope you bought him a beer!

Looks great... But I believe I see the stock exhaust pipes
jetting from the rear.....Get yourself some Corsas, they
will make the rear pop and sound awesome... :headbang:

Thanks for your great comments guys. I was floored when I saw it too! The stripes are 8" wide and 4" separation and 3mils thick. Everything I read says that 3mils is the way to go versus 5mils.

1MEANSNAKE (in Maryland) did mine. I'll let him quote you a price. Knowing the amount of hours it took, I think he gave me a very fair deal. His work is meticulous. Simply put, there is not a single wrinkle or bubble.

There is also a great article with step-by-step instructions in the how-to section of this site. I read through them several times and decided to leave it up to a pro. Knowing my personal craftsmanship, that was the right call. :)

Good Luck!

Mine were $160 in materials. I ordered 50 ft. which is about 10 ft. more than you actually need but I wanted to have extra. Cost me $400 for a body shop (Viper owner) to install. Took them the better part of 2 days.
The stripes I got were 8 inches standard width so there was no cutting or altering the width necessary. Got them from www.stripeman.com

Car looks awesome! I did mine in vinyl last summer to see how I would like it and now I am having them painted on in a couple of weeks. I had a HELL of a time on the front fascia though. The stripes wanted to drift inward, that is why I stopped mine where I did. The silver stripes really set off the car. Nice job.

Thanks for the compliments on the work and on the new look of his sweet RT/10 :headbang:

If anyone is interested in having these installed on their Viper or would like to purchase the same vinyl stripes or of any other color, please contact me for details. I would be more than happy to have your Viper at our shop for a few days to totally change the look of your Viper. We do any and all Vinyl applications such as stripe kits, vehicle badging, banners, garage vinyl logos for application directly to the walls, windshield banners, store fronts, signs and much much more.

Keep the comments coming!

Thanks guys. Yes it has been for sale for awhile. The few problems with the car had have been fixed (head gasket). Hence, I have fallen in love with it all over again.

While the wife still won't ride in it (no airbags) I am probably going to get a Lambo or Porsche GT2 to satisfy my better half. Extra space in the garage and I refuse to go without a Viper. Think this one is a going to be a keeper.

It only gets a 1k miles per year, so I will keep rolling along. Hope to see you on Saturday John!

I should be there weather permitting. Can't wait to see how the stripes turned out in person.

I think they would grow on her after she saw them in person, and if not, they come off without any problems.

Let me know if you decide to do them or want them done. :2tu:
