Without referring to the service book--I would bet that the inside trim panel would need to come off..then the handle's stud should be easy to get at.

You have to remove the inner stanchion cover. Remove the three screws on the cover, being careful not to drop the one behind the emergency release handle. There may or may not be a piece of trim tape on the very bottom of the cover. Carefully seperate it from the stanchion cover, but DO NOT remove it from the door. The inner cover fits INSIDE of the outer cover on the rear(trailing edge). There is a lip on the inner that tucks under the outer cover. There may also be a screw on the top trailing edge of the door trim panel too. You don't have to take that screw out, but it sometimes makes taking the cover off easier. You're going to push the inner cover down and forward to get the lip out from under the outer cover. Once that is done, you'll see how the emer. cable is attached. You shouldn't have to dissconnect the cable to tighten the nut. The trick here is getting pliers or a socket that will fit through the door to the nut. If you use a socket, you have to pull out the pin that holds the micro switch inside of the door handle. Hopefully that should do it.Got questions, call me. Good luck!!dj
