I got my car in the gnarly heat of summer here in Phoenix. Honestly, I was disappointed at how fast the car was, and was amazed that it never spun the tires - even with 19s on it (I never just dumped the clutch at launch). I was seriously worried that something was wrong with the engine. So much so I had my tech run a compression check. Everything was fine. Well now it has turned into a very cool fall here in the desert and boy howdy, the Viper is a different beast. The good news is I have to have at least 50 more horsepower than in the summer. Maybe even 75 more. The bad news is that the ashpalt surface temperatures have gone from 130F to about 60F and my traction is gone. Now I know what you folks have been talking about. It is so bad I looped the car making a fairly moderate left turn last week. So momma nature gives me a ton more power, but takes away all my traction.
