As reading BLKSNAKE's post about modifying the original shifter, I did mostly the same thing Yesterday night. It was an one hour job.

The hardest thing was to find the 1/2-20 tap, not really common in Europe :D :D

I need to dig up a link to the other post. Not sure what you did here, but the shifter does look considerably shorter.

Rats!, and I paid all that money for the aftermarket one.

Good job...

There used to be a machine shop here in Atlanta that would machine parts for me; excellent work at minimal cost.

Wondering if you can post the exact specs that you used to shorten the shifter. I would prefer to have the Mamba shift knob shortened rather than buying an aftermarket item.
