Need a little help with missing fastener-dash area:

The dash was all out when the car was sent to Ed.... I need to know what to get him to fill this square hole and the rectangular hole above the glove-box... a square "plastic pop-in nut" or a "metal pop-in nut" like below the unfilled square hole?

I looked at my '94 and the square hole has a metal pop in so that a sheet metal screw can be used.

I didn't take apart my dash, but isn't the rectagular hole left open because the back of the dash has springy fingers that go into that hole? Only the bottom of the dash uses screws.
