Installed the new PCM yesterday, looking for feeback from others, specifically on break in. (I have belangers full system w/1500 miles since install).

Installation guide says it needs 20-30 miles to learn. I've seen a few posts on the board that said it took longer. I've put close to 100 miles on in two days, everything seems fine, no issues. Power down low seems stronger, 3rd gear 80-100 seems to take only 1 second. Have noticed that the deceleration popping is gone.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

(On another note be happy if you can buy 93 at the pump. Here in CA 91 is the max. Local Unocal gets $8.99 gallon for 100 octane, $2.60 for 91. Using 25% 100 and 75% 91 to get 93 plus ocatane worked out to be $4.14 at our pumps)

How much for the part and install labor? Did you have the dealer do it?

I think they retail for $1159.00 a dealer friend sold it at cost, 20% less. I had a shop thats a club supporter install. (My local dealer just closed). The shop needs to have the correct scan tool, as they have to do some programing including loading the vin in the computer, quick drive, then recheck. $100.00 is the going rate by 2 shops and a dealer I called, 1 hour labor. You can run down to Tomball, set an appointment and wait an hour, I'm sure they'd charge around $100.00

Wonder if the disappearance of the decel pops was due to the engine running a lot leaner?
Also wonder if the ECU has a 100 octance map like some of the Porsche ECU's that would use the highest octane map if it senses no knocks?

Adam, dyno'd at the Stack event a couple weeks ago with the headers, 587 hp, 5 trq. Don't have a before baseline. If you see the post on exhaust by Supervillian, mine's the full belanger car mentioned (red/silver coupe). Stack had a SSG vert customer car. It had belangers with a corsa muffler (vs. my magnaflow) as well as the mopar computer. That car did 596 hp and 575 trq. How much was computer and how much was corsa?? Hoper to run again on Stack's dyno with the computer. I'll aslo probabvly get to the DC dyno event in July. Mike

Bruce, figure I was running w/93.25 octane combined. Don't know the answer on A/F till I go back and dyno. Hoping to hear comments from others. Mike
