New Owner - Road and Track \"The Standing Mile\"
Hello everyone,
Got my first Viper a few weeks ago – 2005 SRT-10 Copperhead 245/300. What a car!!! I’ve taken one of my Jaguars to Pocono Raceway a couple of times (along side, actually behind, the Ferrari and Viper clubs) – the Jag’s a great grand tourer, but no sports car.
My business is doing well so I decided it was time for a new "company" car. I'm an analytical type of guy (yes - some would leave off the "ytical") and after considering all kinds of options, it was clear to me that the Viper is by far the best thing out there under $100K.
By the way, I did a search, but didn’t see that anyone already posted about the Road and Track article this month:
Road and Track "The Standing Mile"
The stock SRT-10 didn’t fair so well – but what does anyone expect going up against cars that cost about 2 to 10 times as much! It was cool to see that the fastest car (MPH at a mile) was [******]’s Venom TT snake.
I look forward to having some fun with this club.
