I have owned three late model Corvettes and I don't think the
new Viper looks like a Corvette at all! I like the looks of the
new (concept)coupe. I saw it in person at the Barrett Jackson.
I am getting a new ACR (01) and if the new coupe was going to be
available next year I would have just waited. It does look totally differant than the current Viper, but didn't the current
Viper look totally differant than anything else when it first came out?
Regards,
Steve

I agree - looks nothing like a vette. Viper has exposed headlights, crosshair grill and a hood scoop - none of which are found on the inferior-looking vette.

It don't look like anything but a Viper!!!

Let me chime in. I also saw the car at the Barrett Jackson Auction. I loved it. My uncle inlaw (also viper owner) plus father inlaw (Hotrod extrordinaire) were very happy with the style. So give three thumbs up! What did you think of this years auction? We thought it was lower quality then last year for in terms of cars. Did you check out the dude selling 163 caddies / "misc tanks"? How in the heck do you collect that many cars?!!

They'll have to lop off about 175 horsepower if they wish to design a car to appeal to the "vette crowd"

. And add a heads up display which I find to be an excellent feature, my favorite of the C5.
