Odd spare tire question

I noticed that DC performance had some polished spares forsale as skinnies for a big's and little's setup. Is this commonplace? I've done it many, many times in the Mustang world with the 17" Cobra spares. If so I might think about picking up a 2nd spare and polishing them, until I can come off my wallet and but my 18x4 classics. Well let's hear some opinions.
