You have to see the rukus we created with the video of me spanking Gerald on his Hayabusa  There is a 7 page thread on one of the busa boards. They all called BS on the video and that no way that Viper can spank the Busa  Have you raced any Busas Tom? If so what was the outcome? Also how much hp are you putting down with that beast of yours  Feel free to pm if you want. this is the link the busa board btw, As you can see I'm not backing down from anyone :p

Mike,

Shiat man, I am the one that started that thread, for kicks, after you sent me the link. I thought it would shut the people up once and for all. I expected there would be some griping and complaining, but I thought there would be a lot more thumbs up and 'good job dude' kind of messages -- NOT THE CASE! Those Busa owners are more ******** than the vette forum guys are, and without a doubt more stupid (I could barely get through some of the posts.) Almost as if they had been hit in the head by one too many big bugs or cracked their skulls against one too many curbs. Man....

Well, you put it out there. Nobody has officially stepped up and taken you up on your offer and set a date yet, so the ball is in their court. That will be a fun one to record.

I'm going to do the same with my slower car, just for kicks. Lots of bikes in this area, and I own a bike as well.

With 525 RWHP N/A and a 150 shot of NOS, I am still going to lose to a stock BUSA, aint I? What about 525 RWHP + a 200 shot (the max my kit goes to) ? I have some 3:54 gears. Is it best to take on the bikes from a rolling start with the horsepower I have or take them from a stand still? And if a rolling start, what have you guys found to be the best speed and gear to hit do it at with a similar set up as mine?

Please up your shot to 200 if you want to win ;) Your best bet is to go from a rolling start. What kinda of tires you running? If stock michelens I say try to go from the highest speed possible, maybe 70mph in 3rd gear so that traction is not an issue. If you can get your hands on sticky tires then go from 2nd gear @55 mph. I think you can beat a near stock Busa with a healthy 200 shot :D When are you racing? Try to borrow some khumos or drag radials dude they will help you tremendously ;) Aslo no passengers, you dont need the extra wieght :p

Yeah, I have brand new Pilots on my wheels. If I understand gearing correctly, my 3:54 gears will actually hurt me at the higher speeds, won't they?

Your gearing will hurt you as you will have to shift to 5th around 130mph. Like I said your best bet is to borrow a set of drag radials, or khumos so that you can run this guy from a second gear roll. I'm sure someone here on this board will be able to help out especially since the busa guys are talking so much crap

When do you plan on running this guy btw? Get some video footage if you can, aim the camera to the side and make sure it can see out of your rear mirror lol :D

I plan on running him on my way to Vegas on August 7th. I will have a friend with me and our bags with us. He weighs about 220 (I do too) and figure we'll have about 40 to 50 pounds of stuff in the trunk for our trip. Since we're driving from San Diego to Vegas, I am just going on stock tires. This is for fun and I expect to be owned, but I was just wondering how bad it would be. How much of a difference is an extra 270 pounds in the car going to make? I know that is a ton of weight, but part of the fun will be to have my friend experience it with me, so I am not going to boot him out of the car and take all of our crap out.

And yes, I will have a video camera with us.

That's alot of added wieght, it may help you with traction :D How is your traction now from second gear with the nos on? Up that sucker to 200 and make us proud. I have a feeling you are not going to race a stock Bike thought :smirk: Good luck and kick some *** dude, I'll be waiting to hear the outcome :)

I haven't run the NOS yet as I had a cracked intake manifold. Car should be ready to go and test sometime next week. I have a Gen I, so I am running 17 inch wheels, 3:54 gears. We'll see how it goes. I'll let you know in about 2 weeks.

I know the Gen I cars are heavier than the Gen II. If you race the guy I would not be going too fast or too slow....honestly, I don't know which would be better with the gear you have? The gears aren't that good for higher speed and the power may drop off quick. Just my .o2
