BASE MSRP: $65,725.00
BASE INVOICE: $59,038.00 (Dealer Pays)

As for options I believe they were:

$2000.00 extra for the Hardtop

and

$500.00 for Cognac Interior

Hope this helps :2tu:

Thanks F355,

Exactly the info I was after. You know, people often talk about declining prices on Vipers (on this board anyway). I would expect to pay somewhere around $50k for a nice clean lower miles 99 RT. That's about 25% off of list for a now 5 year old car. Most "normal" car owners would be thrilled with that level of depreciation.

Thanks again, Bob

I'm looking for the same info for my 99 GTS ACR no stripe.
Also does anyone have a copy of a window sticker?

Go with Russ M's list , as it is right off his sticker. Keep in mind things changed almost every year , with stripes going from 2000 to 2500 and finally 3000- but this is immaterial on the RT-10 , as it was not an option. Hope this helps?

I have the same oroginal window sticker as JimT but without hardtop. Total price with connolly pkg is $70,175.
Does anybody know if there is a "luxury tax" added? My seller told me he paid almost $80K.

Re: Original MSRP of 1998 RT/10

Wow. I got a good deal then. The MSR of my car was $82,835 in 1999. I just bought it last month for $40,000. It only had 12,000 miles on it and is in perfect shape. It was a local car also. It has a clean Carfax also.

You get what you paid for.

Very few vipers (ESPECIALY THE CHEAP ONES) are unmolested over the years of ownership. Car fax dont mean anything, take it to a viper expert and have him go over it.

You will be amazed at the things he will find.

PS. And if someone sold you a 99 ACR with 12k miles on it for 40k, the seller was a fool even if the car has frame damage.

That was a good deal but agree with Russ. Have a Vipertech look at the car beforehand because Carfax does not show much.

Re: Original MSRP of 1998 RT/10

It was already looked at before I purchased it. since then I have had the alignment checked, Tires balanced, All the fluids and plugs changed (plugs looked almost new) Put about 12 coats of wax on it, replaced the brake fluid cap (it was leaking), and cleaned the air filters. The only problem I have found is the right front shock rebound will not adjust. I will have to have it rebuilt. I also knew the previous owner and knew how the car was maintained and driven. He didn't want the car anymore so I offered him a price and after a couple months he decided to let me have it. He bought a new toy and didn't have room for the Viper. It was never in an accident however it does have a new hood installed. The hood had a crack the paint. I have the original hood that only has some paint cracks (no hood damage). Anyone need a good hood with some paint cracks?

Anyway thanks for your suggestions.
