We recently learned of this sad news. While not unexpected, the news that the club has lost a long time friend is difficult. I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry in the late 1990s and spent time with him at a lot of events from local to VOIs over the years. Always enjoyable to be around and chat with. We will really miss him. I have included below what I received from Marko about his longtime and good friend.

The VCA has made a donation to Driver's Edge in his memory. If anyone is interested to honor Jerry, donations can be made to the following charities. These are listed in the order of Jerry's preference.

Our good friend and fellow Viper Enthusiast Jerry Muench passed away Tuesday evening after a long battle with cancer. Jerry was the first Viper Club of America Nevada Region President and was well known among the Viper Community Worldwide. Originally from Germany, Jerry made Las Vegas home for many years. He was retired from the Clark County Fire Department.

On a personal note, Jerry and I spent years as friends, traveling with our Vipers, racing and just having a great time! I will miss him dearly. May my good friend rest in peace. Our hearts and thoughts now are with his companion Penny Taylor. In lieu of funeral proceedings, Penny will be planning a Celebration of Life in Jerry's honor. The date for this Celebration will be passed on at a later time.
