Some of the others on this board can answer this with more certainty than I, but I believe you must purchase the car via a dealer in order to get an extended warranty if the car is already OUT of warranty. If purchasing from an individual and the car is NOT in warranty, you may NOt be able to purchase an extended warranty. Hope this helps

I bought my used GTS from a dealer and it was already out of warranty. I then bought a Dodge Extended Warranty from another dealer. No problems.

If you bring the car to a dealership soon after buying it and there are no problems with it, they may still sell you a warranty. The forms we signed clearly stated that the warranty had to burchased at the time of sale. But the dealership had no problems with it. Remember that warranties are a real high margin item for the dealership.

Call Fitzgeralds and ask them when you find your specific car. They can run the VIN and let you know. So far, they have had the best prices on the extended warrantee.
