I am in the process of installing some mods on my new SRT (gears, pipes, intake, shifter, and most important, VALENTINE!).. I am going to hardwire. Where is the closest switched 12 volt point for me to connect ???? I plan to install the V1 on the left of the rear view mirror.. and route the wire around the windshield to be unseen...

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used the cig lighter as this is a switched power source. Also, I did find that mounting the detector to the right of the reiwview caused less driver distraction while still allowing for a quick visual/response time.

Try the Search button and type " hardwire " I found this post a few months ago and it works great.

Sorry to bring back an old thread.

I tried searcing for the answer, but did not come up with anything. I am trying to hardwire my radar, it is not an valentine, so i am just looking for any ignition switched source. I'd rather not go to the cig lighter and take apart the dash if i do not need to. Is there any fuse box near by that i can just use an inline fuse holder with?
