Hey there, I was wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks about getting my car off my laneway without scratching the bottom. My laneway isn't in bad shape, but I ip now and then. Is there a difference of backing it up vs driving it forward? Do those ramp things that go at the end of the curb help? Any other advise? I am going to get the lower bumper re-painted and don't want to chip it again

enter at a 45 degree angle, get one tire on the driveway then straighten the car out. same with backing out exit at a 45. Is it possible to lay a 2x4 in the dip, that might help also.

Angles are your friend with low cars. My daily driver is SLAMMED lower than my Viper which is also lowered on springs and caps. It's all about angles baby....

I learned this very quickly as my curb ***** too. Backing up at a 45 works even better as the tire comes up first.

All these ideas are relevant. The best way to approach it is a function of many things and the best way to figure out the optimal approach is trial and error. Personally, backing up at a 45 worked for me, but its a PITA so try different combinations of the strategies mentioned here and keep using the one that works best.

Ya, I find that driving in at a 45 works, but backing out doesn't. I've tr ied backing in and it works best so far, but it is a pain in the butt which is why I asked for advice here. I think I will either get some 2*6 or those rubber things that go at the end of the laneway. Hopefully between those and backing up I should be okay.

2 x 6's work great....but if you're on a hill, pin 'em down with a tapcon or something similar.....first rain took mine all the way down the street!
