With 10,500 fun filled and exciting miles on the clock, I figured my tires would be LONG gone. Thought about that again tonight as I was lighting it up at the drag strip (12.12 @ 118 mph, 1.85 60'). The tread depth looks very good on both front and rear, and I am mildly surprised. I have done drag racing (lots), autocross (some), and road racing (not enough) - all on the same set of Pilot Sports. Is this normal or should I be counting my blessings? Just curious!

Replaced my MXX3's at about 15000 miles. Tread was a little below the sensors, but looked pretty good. Had one season Of Viper club events on them. I was going to a Tracktime driving school at Road America this spring, and didn't want to worry about losing a tire at 150 mph. No guarantees, but I felt better have new rubber on my rims.
