Curious - can any of you recommend a good spring rate package for the SRT? i just ordered some Motons because I want to lower it a bit but I have been getting conflicting advice on the spring rates.

I do 6-10 track days per year and like to drive ******* the track. Rest of the time its a daily driver. My plan is to use the Motons to lower it on track days and then put it back somewhere sane for the normal city driving (speed bumps and all).

Thoughts on a good spring rate?

thanks in advance -

Jay, it depends a lot on what size wheel/tire you will run up front...

Too small a tire too much spring = push city
too big a tire and not enough spring = tail happy

with a 285-305 front I woud say 500lb if you go the 315 I would go 600lb

You are pretty safe in the 700 to 800 range in back

these rates will provide great performance but ride a littl rough on the street, just keep at least a 100lb split f to r and 150-200 if you go with the smaller front tires

drop a hundred all around for a smoother ride on the street

I have 550 up front and 700 in the rear.
I have tried many variations from 450-475-500 up front and 650-700-750 in the rear.
It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
I also found that I was happiest with the Eibach springs.

How did you like the 500 up front? much of a difference?

If memory serves me correctly, Archer recomends 500 up front and 750 in the rear for the Motons.
I dont track my car so I was looking for what felt the best for my driving style. I am NOT running the Motons. I am running the latest generation Aldan's. For street driving they are fine, but if I was going to track the car, I would have had my pals at Woodhouse install the Motons before they delivered the car to me.
Ps If you are mechanically inclined, dont be afraid to install them your self.

Thanks a bunch folks.

In terms of tires, I have the Forgeline rims from the VRL coming (18x11, 18x13).

Based on this discussion, sounds like 500/700 would do the trick. I am willing to sacrifice some stiffness on the street - as long as I can raise it (with the motons) to get over speend bumps for city driving and then lower it for track days.

Thanks again for all the help. Its very much appreciated.

I have had Archer do a lot of work for me, but I found that Woodhouse has the best experience with the Motons and you should just call someone up there. They would be glad to help you.
