I have recently shipped my car from Massachusetts out to California, and did several searching here on the VCA and on google to try and find my best option for the most reliable and affordable Shipping Company. I wasn't getting a lot of great information from one place, so after gathering a bunch of info from all over the place online, I thought I would try to create a definitive thread here on the VCA geared towards shipping.

Below from all the information I've gathered are a listing of Company Names, their phone #, website URL, and shipping rates. I know not all of you would be shipping your car 3,000 miles from MA to CA like I did, but that's pretty much one of the furthest distances you can travel across country in the United States lol. So if anything, it should give you an idea of pricing at the extreme considering the distance in miles.

Here is my Shipping information for all the Shipping Quotes below:
Pickup:
214 Mill St. Haverhill, MA 01830
Delivery: 25851 Jefferson Ave. Murrieta, CA 92562
Distance: 3,005 Miles

**Important To Note: I know with gas prices always changing rates can change, so these quotes below will obviously not always be the same price. However, I've been checking shipping prices for the past year, and getting quotes. So for example, Intercity Lines and Reliable Carriers have always offered cheaper quotes than Passport Transport. So regardless of the fluctuation in gas prices, the companies offering cheaper rates have always been the cheapest.

Almond Exotic Transports
Website:
http://almondexotictransports.com/
Phone: 240-994-1343
Shipping Cost: **I could not get ahold of Gary, he is no where to be found. He was the one who originally delivered my Viper to me from Detroit back in April of 2008. I've searched for him online, his website is down, and it appears he has changed his Phone Number since he can't be reached. So I'm assuming he is no longer in the shipping business. If he were available though, he would be my #1 choice for shipping, as I'm sure many others on here will agree.

Intercity Lines

Shipping Cost: $1,962

Exotic Car Transport
Website:

Phone: 1-800-766-8797
Shipping Cost: **They could not offer me a quote, because they told me they do not run the route I requested from MA to CA.

Gran Turismo MotorSports
Website:

Phone: 1-800-896-0008
Shipping Cost: $1,950

Horseless Carriage
Website:

Phone: 1-800-631-7796
Shipping Cost: $2,350

Passport Transport
Website:
http://www.passporttransport.com/
Phone: 1-800-325-4267
Shipping Cost: $2,590.85

Passport Fedex
Website:
http://passport.fedex.com/
Phone: 1-888-444-5940
Shipping Cost: **They were very honest and up front saying they don't normally offer this type of service of shipping cars, so they could not offer competitive pricing. It would have cost double the average of all these other quotes from what I was told.

Auto Transport Group
Website:
http://autoshippersamerica.com/
Phone: 1-800-939-0887
Shipping Cost: $1,700

Show Car Services
Website:
www.showcartrans.com/
Phone: 248-925-7552
Shipping Cost: $1,450

I chose the Auto Transport Group which is a broker, and they set me up with Show Car Services:
Total Shipping Cost:
$1,700
Order Deposit to Auto Transport Group: $250
Amount C.O.D to Show Car Services: $1,450

The overall transaction was perfect, I couldn't have asked for it to be any easier. On Thursday May 17th the Auto Transport Group scheduled to have my car picked up for Saturday May 19th through Show Car Services; and I was told my car would be delivered a week later on Friday May 25th by Anthony who was my point of contact throuh the Auto Transport Group. After the order through the Auto Transport Group was placed, Show Car Services personally called me saying they would be picking my car up as scheduled for Saturday May 19th; but could also pick my car up a day earlier on Friday May 18th since their driver was already located near by, which I of course said yes too. The driver's name was John, and he did a great job checking over the car before it was loaded and allowed me to drive it onto the trailor. He also allowed me to call his Cell as often as I liked to see where he was located so I knew his location status. As promised, Show Car Services ended up delivering my car safely as scheduled on Friday May 25th with Todd at A&C Performance. Needless to say, although the Auto Transport Group was extremely helpful, I will instead be contacting Show Car Services directly this time to deliver my car back to me. :)

Use Intercity lines if you have not booked they are awesome and worth the extra, I have used 2 of the other companies and have found Intercity to be awesome.
