I was told to NEVER mix tires on the Viper, and if the rears are worn, can'em all and get yourself a set of 4 Kumo's from tirerack.com

Definately get new ones.
The only close call I have had came as a result of buying my 94 with the original tires. The rubber had dried and hardened after nearly 10 years and driving on hardened rubber is worse than driving on ice. They were not worn but still very dangerous.
Its a small price to pay.
