In July 1970 I left Maryland to start college in Longview Texas. In the middle of a Heat Wave(109 in the shade) that was setting records even for Texas. I have never again felt heat so thick it would push against you (lived all around balmy Fla), the post from Vir. about how he drives year round gave me a good laugh,(I enjoyed Texas and the people greatly)the heat, not so much!!
