How can I ever begin to thank you all enough for the wonderful Viper time I had last weekend in Colorado. Your club sure knows how to Viper! I was honored to be there.

It all began on this VCA board! I was commenting on the overseas USA Viper fun posted, wishing I'd been there. John Johns of CO invited me out for an event he was organizing, and the excitement began from there. Mary and Jim Roppo (Region Pres) kindly picked me up from the airport after 20 hours of travel. I drooled in their garage for sometime, and we later watched Viper videos till gone midnight (no time for jet-lag!)

You can't better a Viper 'sandwich'...sat in a Viper, with the view of snakes on the road ahead, and snakes in the mirror behind. Then when you get up in the mountains at speed, in formation, it really is awesome. The club gave rides to children later that day, fund raising for a local kids charity. We had a pic-nic up in the mountains, and some great photo opportunity with the amazing views. Parkranger even turned up and handed out a ticket to the coupe parked off the track, looking like it had just popped up over the rock face!

Next day was some more speedy snaking up in the mountains, and my first GT2 ride (thanks Don and Barbara). We arrived towards our destination to be greeted by 8 cop cars, all lights flashing, trying to compete with the lights of Las Vegas! Vipers were pulled, and one turned around, really exciting the cops as they thought they had a runner! (It was a drunk truck driver that they nailed though, phew). We barbecued the evening at a ranch down by the river, and there was cool blue and white cake to celebrate my 27th birthday!

The following day Vipers departed in groups, and some of us went back into the mountains, to visit some archaeological cliff dwellings.

The event must have covered close to 1000 miles. I just had to share this amazing time I had, with anyone who wanted to read about it. The CO region sure know how to Viper, cheers to you, and thank you for having me. I enjoyed meeting you all, and admiring your Vipers inside-out.

I then flew on for a second visit to the place of Worship in Detroit. Thanks for a fab plant tour Thomas. Couldn't leave CAAP without a load more of goodies from their shop, to luggage home with my Partsrack and Sean Roe goodies. I also checked out Chrysler HQ museum, there are 3 special Vipers there. It was also a pleasure to meet up with the "Motorcitymadman" and his '96 coupe during my visit.

Well it's back to work in the UK now, I've a big VISA bill to pay off!! It's good to be home to see my beloved, and start tinkering with his new upgrades.

Wow, great story and photos. We are family, all my Snake brothers, sisters, and me.....................

Really is amazing the unique things Viper owners do for each other. VCA really is a group to belong to for "Life! " Yes, the double meaning is implied.

Nadine, it was great to meet Europe's #1 Viper enthusiast. I am happy you made it back home safely. I'm glad you got time to check out the Chrysler Museum and its several Vipers on display. Find any good Viper stuff at the gift shop there?

I am looking forward to meeting more of you Viper members next year at VOI 7 Detroit, my stomping grounds. They are in the middle of fixing our numerous bad roads and potholes so by the time you all come up here there should be plenty of fresh asphalt to shread. This Viper community has got to be the best car enthusiasts group that has ever been. See you all in the Motor City next year.

Hey, DanB13. All those Vipers were from Colorado...except ours...the GT-2 from Utah. We tried to get a Utah club going, but haven't been able to generate any interest. So WE will be going to Colorado whenever possible. Utah owners, you don't know what you're missing! As to not seeing many, we drove all the way to South Carolina and back in April and didn't see a single Viper! (We weren't driving ours, either, however.) We take ours "out" for special occasions, mainly.
