What gains have you guys gotten from using a Vec 2 and just bolt ons? Is it worth buying if you aren't going to go forced induction?

Yes, it's worth it. I've hooked up my laptop and logged a couple of files. You email them to Sean, and he will write a custom program to get your timing and Air/Fuel where they belong. I still haven't taken mine to the dyno yet, but plan on doing so soon.

I talked to roe racing on wed. he said that for the gen 1 he would recommend doing all of these at the same time and that you would notice a significant difference with these mods.

exhaust

harland sharp roller rockers-600.00

Pushrods for roller rockers-130.00

vec 3 because they no longer have any vec 2-1095.00

He was very helpful and wasn't trying to force anything on me. He even stated that because I live in Florida that I should come have it tuned by them after I purchase and install all of these parts. The kind of hp and tq that he was talking about will definitely surprise all of those that we have raced in the past.
