Viper Pistons? What are they?

I've seen reference to some years having cast pistons, others talk about the hypers, and still another one that said they were forged.

So what are they? Forged? Cast? What?

If they are cast, is that in all years? If not when did they change?

Who makes good low compression (9:1), forged pistons for the Viper? Ross? JE? Anyone got any part numbers?
