Hello,

The AZ Club is having an event January 24, 2004 at the Barrett-Jackson auction. We meet for breakfast, give out prizes, cruise to our own secured lot at the auction, check out the cars, buy some cars, and have a great lunch together in the on-premesis restaurant & you never know who might show up to talk to the group. It's a great setup as we have been the only club to get this secured parking by the gate-(most everyone else parks in fields and has to hop the rattlers) and restaurant lunch (most everyone else gets to enjoy the turkey legs and funnel cakes at the food stands, however).

We had a very strong turnout last year and Viper friends from coast to coast, esp. the west coast, always show up to this auction. The latest from the auction is that they hardly have any auction spots left and most of the cars have no reserve so there will be a lot of sales. Info sheet is at:

Got two questions Marv;
Any suggestions on any Viper friendly hotels close by?
Any one from San Diego planning on going?

Mike,

The auction is in North East Scottsdale, generally a pretty good place in the Phx area. Hotels near the auction should be "Viper Friendly".

Bob Jacobs usually drives over for Barrett-Jackson but don't know who else for this year yet. Bring Josiah along with ya.

Here's some more info, just let Karen at [email protected] know if you want to sign up with the group for lunch, etc.:

For lodging, here are a few options:

Check out the official Barrett Site for a map of nearby hotels at:

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/events/scottsdale/travel/hotels.asp

Numbers 1 through 17 are all pretty close to the auction and the Viper meeting place Sat. am (Ed Moses Dodge.)

Number 20 is the place to stay for a very delux resort.

In the past, Barrett-Jackson has made arrangements for lodging ( discount rates, I think) with:
