Washing Viper.. OK to spray exposed wires?

I have early 93 viper, im assuming its probably the same for all vipers no clue though.

But on the passanger side door vent? Not sure what you call the vents on the sides of the cars that lead to the engine bay. But if you look in there, you can clearly see bright wiring harness thats plugged into something.

Everytime i wash the car i get nervous about spraying that area. What is that? is it safe?

I have always wondered about that. I try to keep most of the water away from that area but some always gets in. No problems after 2 years of ownership, however.

i spray a ton of water at LOW pressure in all of the engine compartment and have no problems due to it.

just keep it to a minimum if you're worried.
