What did the Supras do, straight off the show room floor?

So anyone can throw enough money into a car, make it go faster, then it no longer resembles with any truthfulness or honesty, the original car it was based on.

Only the way it comes off the showroom floor, thats it. Anything else is just an exercise in spending money, albeit while having a ton of fun.

So my question is: What did all these now-defunct Supras do in the 1/4, when they came off the line?

In my brief search of stock numbers, here is what I found . This review tells us that the 1998 Supra Turbo (the last year it was imported) did 0-60 in 5.0 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.0 seconds (at 106 mph).

An impressive car, especially for only $41,000 (in 1998 dollars).
