What is the fastest 1/4 mile with only bolt ons and no power additives

Is there any kind of record for 1/4 mile times with a Viper that only has bolt ons using pump gas and computer upgrades(may include vec1 or 2).
No superchargers, No turbos, No head and cam work, No nitrous or stroker kits. Drag radials and street tires okay. Change in rear diff gears okay. Very curious to see what you guys/ladies come up with.

The interesting observation about this question is that a STOCK Viper that can run 120-122mph with nothing but exhaust and K & N's would run 10.8 to 10.9's with a solid rear, a cage to hold everything in, and a good drag suspension setup

Try THAT in a stock LS6 powered Vette running same mods.


ok - I know nobody wants a live axle in their Viper - but you can see how much ET is being lost and what the trap speed means. BTW a bolt on Viper trapping at 133mph would run mid 10's or under with the right setup

What is impressive is not the Viper ET's but the trap speeds and the fact they can then pull 1g and rip through a slalom, then outrun a Porsche TT on the drive home
