Wheel Hop Issue, what gives...

Just wondering if this is normal...If i launch or even take off hard i get wheel hop and the shifter jerks hard up and down...actually on the freeway sometimes when the road is a little choppy, the shifter moves up and down really fast almost like the trans is loose. Do these cars have weak tranny mounts, rubber like or could something be wrong. Its a new '02 gts, just hit 1000 miles.

Sounds like you busted the tranny mount.
