    '96 CS Edition

I owned #15 for a while. Note from the pictures the actual lack of air bag on the steering wheel and the glove box door . The 1996 roadster was a "transition" from Gen I to Gen II and moving the assembly. Roadsters built at old facility, production stopped, then coupes built at the new...

    Throttle cable pulled through firewall

Same problem, '99 coupe. Rube Goldberged with grommets and wire ties to get home. Local dealer wouldn't exchange under warranty, they said they had to do the work, and I wouldn't let them tow (their suggestion}. Roanoke Motors next dayed me a replacement under warranty.

Why can't the valve affected VIN #'s be listed on the web page?

Why can\'t the valve affected VIN #\'s be listed on the web page? They aren't secret, or are they? I called the appropriate 800 number yesterday, used the right option #, and the lady didn't know what I was talking about. I was put on hold for 10 minutes, and then she came back on and told me...

Not Happy! National VCA please get involved!

Thinking "out of the box". First, Dodge knows what needs replacing. Second, they know what is needed to make the fix, both in tools and extras i.e. gaskets. So, my thought is, appointments can be made at any dealer close to those affected Vipers, and Dodge can fly a "certified repair person"...

    ABS Light on! Oh shucks!!!

Get it in to the dealer. It's under warranty, and there are so many things that it could be, I don't think anyone would, or should try to trouble shoot it on the board. It may be something simple and easy, but it could also be a severe problem. Does the pedal feel ok?

    First oil change

I go for between 500 and 750 for the first oil and filter change. This is to get rid of the misc. stuff flushed loose from inside the block, and to get rid of the initial wear particles. After that, it's really dependent on how you drive your particular Viper. Some owners may not put 3,000...

First Performance shoot-out for the SRT-10

Re: First Performance shoot-out for the SRT-10(UPDATE) Why don't they mention the gas guzzler tax that those REAL guzzlers do NOT have to pay.

    Dyno numbers on SRT/10 ??

Before you had modifications done, if the numbers concerned you, and if it's not to late, get your Viper to a dealer so they can check the computer and sensors. Last summer we had a member dyno very low, and he took his Viper to a dealer who checked everything out. They found a bad sensor, if...

    Chrome plater for wheels

Does anyone have a recommendation to chrome plate Viper wheels? Any experience bad or good with anyone? I'm considering this for my '03, when it comes, since I can't drive it until March or April, weather depending.

    Red SRT-10 arrived...

Steve, Congratulations on Elaine's new Viper;-) Remember, the new Viper has a viscous coupled rear differential, not the posi we're all used to. From what I remember, it's based on the Grand Cherokee, so it MIGHT use the same fluid. Also, back in the "earlier" MOPAR days, factory fill for the...

The REAL question? How long to TOTAL the first SRT?

You can put me down for the second day of ownership, given that all 2003 owners should have some experience with the power and handling. However, that doesn't mean that someone, somewhere, ends up doing someting...... What was the previous percent of first day crashes, and totals? JonB?

How many officers of the VCA are getting 2003s?

1st, no cars would be delivered, until ALL certifications are complete. This reasoning would be based on the fact that all Vipers have been 50 state complient for most, if not all, their life. 2nd, I'm sure how soon your dealer submitted the actual vehicle order came into play. Diligence on...
