A little help please, 2000 RT/10....
Be sure you roll down your windows if it is a hardtop. The sound insulation qualities in the hard top model are so good that you might not hear the sound with your windows up. BTW the hood speakers were designed for the RT folks to have a better audio experience back in the early days.- kowalski vanishing point

Cancelled My Membership to "Idle Hang" Club

If you disconnect the old PCM (unhook the battery) and reconnect it, often the Idle Hang goes away for a few hundred miles until the computer "relearns" its old bad ways. MUSTANGS VS VIPERS?
As DChan415 said, the solid rear axle is a superior setup for racing 1/4 mile at a time. Also Vipers do not have automatic transmissions, which once again are a superior device (to manual transmissions) for 1/4 drag racing. Help Disconnecting the Fuel Line
It's a little involved but I had a similar problem trying to disconnect the fuel filter. Just couldn't get the plastic disconnect to snap dowm. What I did was go to the harware store. Idle Hang Revisited

I did notice something recently. A few years ago when I changed the intake manifold gaskets I noticed motor oil in the intake runners. Not much but it was there. No real explanation for it. '97's had problems with intake manifold gasket leaks I'm not sure about 96's. When mine was bad it would idle at 3000 rpm. Not a hard job to replace both sides.- kowalski vanishing point
