    gas tank issue

    Ok I changed the float in my gas tank a month ago and the guage is 1/4 off. When it is full it barely reads 3/4 tank. So what could be wrong. Putting the new float is just about about fool proof to put in wrong. Any ideas and I dont want to rip everything back out and take out all the rivets.
