I've only been gone a couple of years, still have my house in Denham Springs and a boat in Madisonville. We come home frequently but I rarely take the snake.
I'm not exactly a Louisiana Viper but soon to be back home in Baton Rouge. I have about another 3 months left on my assignment here in the mountains of North Carolina. Gonna miss these mountain roads but still can't wait to get back home.
I can't wait to get back home now. We'll be constructing a new power plant not far from there beginning the end of 2011 and it'll be nice to be closer to Madisonville. Keep us posted on the progress.
CALLING YOU OUT ON THIS ONE VIPER!!! That was my wife's Prius and you didn't catch us until the we stopped at the light. We had a full battery charge and you didn't want any of this electric car in your 450hp gas guzzling monster!!!:):)

Nissan Maxima injectors? What??!! I go to a parts store looking for a temperature sending unit and told that they cannot even get one I would have to call the dealer. You rip some injectors from a Maxima and MacGyver them into a Viper! That's insane! I need more education on these toys.
I had the same thing happen to me this week with Chuck. Previously I ordered Tom's 40mm brake upgrade and had the same experience. It's refreshing to know there are still people like this in the world.
Reflecting back, I think everyone I have ordered from that was located on this website...
I believe the SCT tune should definitely be in there for a gen II. The great thing about it is you can insert almost anywhere in the list and see incremental improvements along the way.
Please no more Vipair. I think that post is the reason for my loss of vision from staring at this screen...
It's the best investment I've made so far. Corsa exhaust, smooth tubes and K&N are the only other performance mods I have. I immediately noticed a difference in mid-range pick up.
I got mine locally here for a hell of a deal and a packaged tune from Sean. Do it, you'll love it!
Mine does the exact same thing yours does. The shop manual states that it is one of the bearings in the differential (can't remember which one). I planned to install 3.55 gears soon so was going to change everything then. I also changed the fluid recently but it did not make a difference.

It looked like a great deal to me since most every other price I saw was close to $8500 just for the kit.
I've been considering installing a Paxton recently and ran across this sale on another forum. Seems like a good deal, what do you guys think?

I also want to thank Chip, Lisa and everyone else that devoted their time to set up this event. I had a great time and met some very wonderful people. Even though I only made the Saturday trip I had an awesome time! Next get together the wife and I will definitely entire trip. KIDZ - you...
Anyone traveling in on Saturday morning on I-40 from NC? We have one RT and 2 SRT trucks leaving Marion, NC aout 7:00 on Saturday morning. Meeting at Waffle House on Hwy 221 in Marion about 6:30.
So what is the latest count? Anyone been to the Wildwood grill before? Have we warned them...
OK guys I'm in as well. Not sure if we are going to make a day trip or spend the night. We'll likely leave Friday and stay until Sat. Sure will be nice to see another Viper, not many where I live.
Mills - you are right about 181 from Morganton. I live in between Marion and Morganton and...
I've seen them from $650 - $1800. There was one in the classifieds a few months ago for $650 that I should have bought for my 2000 when I saw it. I think it lasted about 2 days at that price. I saw one on craigslist for $1000 near Stratford, CT.
When I was looking to buy my Viper and my wife's Porsche I ran across numerous scam ad's. Seemed like every other ad was a scam if the price seemed to be to low. These guys take pictures from an existing ad and post weeks later on their ad. I bet you email and get a response like the car is...
I was just curious what kind of parts I could find on craigslist and came across this. Sounds like a good deal for someone looking. Kinda depressing thinking what my RT/10 may be worth. I'm not sure the condition of the car but looks like a fairly large gap in the hood, but fixable.

I know I don't post on here much but that may say something for me coming forward now. Jon B at Parts Rack is an honest straight forward guy that can handle just about any request you can send him. And also provides the best price and service!
That's kinda what I'm thinking, too many haters. It would be a little different if the rest. had valet parking or a secure lot. But even that wouldn't guarantee something bad happening.
The wife and I are going into Asheville on Sat. night and I'm thinking of taking the Viper. However, I'm kinda hesitant about parking along the street. These cars attract so much attention I just get concerned that some drunk a-hole is going to do something stupid. Anyone else have this...
OK not quite upstate SC but I just moved to Marion, NC. It's about 30 minutes east of Asheville on Lake James. I did hear about a car show in Old Fort April 24th I was thinking about crashing. I believe it's called "Mountain Thunder" and hosted by the Route 70 Cruisers club.
I bought my 2000 RT/10 back in October and finally decided to do some upgrades. After researching vendors I decided to give PartsRack a try. Jon spent close to 45 minutes on the phone with me discussing different options on exhaust, intake and brakes. In the end I got exactly what I wanted at...
Here is a prime example of how accurate these things are.

I ran a carfax on mine before I purchased and it showed no damage reported. I did notice that some paint work had been done during inspection.
