Post em if you got em! If your Viper is supercharged or twin turbo or even the NX and you have timed yourself in the 1/4 mile, post your time, mods, tires, and track conditions here. Time slips preferred but not required. :D

Lets see whatcha got!

I have not had a chance to go since the addition of my S/C.

Prior to it was 12.03 at 119. Only my third run ever in any vehicle.

Ran three 10's in a row. 10.86, 10.85 & 10.87 all at 134mph. Roe blower, 10psi, BFG drag radials. Horrible track conditions. This was at Rock Falls Dragway and they call it "the slippery rock". Kind of hard to hook up 650ft lbs of torque at 2000 rpms though. Temps were probably in the mid to upper 60's.

Don't have a scanned image of the timeslip but how about a video.

Not bad, not bad. Have you ran your 09 in the 1/4 yet?

After some more tuning, a new fuel system and switching to E85, it made 710. Never got a chance to run it on the strip after that though.

Planning on running the '09 this fall.

Excellent post.

Does anyone have numbers for a 5# Roe kit on a stocker or the same but with headers/cat-back?

Curious what a simple setup is capable of with a little boost. Any rwhp numbers?

Man I miss those days. :(

Black Mamba, 1TONY1 is your best example for how tires effect e.t. With slicks instead of drag radials only a 2mph increase, but over a full second better in e.t.

10 flat in a Viper in street trim or with drag radials would be the holy grail. A car that wouldn't even hook-up below 100 mph.

This is the most informative post I have ever seen on forced induction 1/4 mile times. This gives a good idea on just how fast these cars can be!

I'm getting a Paxton. Case closed.

On a Gen 3,Paxton is the best and most affordable way to go. My advice is to get as much hp that you can using pump gas. Keep in mind that using race gas and water injection systems can get old after a while. Especially when the extra power might be unable to be used.

Those are some great times, certainly better than anything I could do. What's the secret, if any, for launching a Paxton, Gen 3 with street rubber (Michelin PS2s, not run craps)? What RPMs should you start at? Do you dump the clutch and then feather on the gas? Do you feather the clutch? How do they get such good 60' times? Anything different when launching a non SC car?

Actually those were pilots, not drag radials but it does show the ET/MPH theory/fact ;)

Stock motor, Arrow rockers, headers, exhaust, high flow cats, ET Streets and skinnies, Roe with a 5lb pulley, this was before Roe came out with the Vec..... it had racing fuel but was still pulling out 2.5 degrees of timing across the board with an MSD timing retard.

A great job on the Pilots that day,Tony. Saw they weren't D.R.'s but as you said makes the point.

Keith maybe should ask where are all those big guns now ? Of the ones still around who are actually happy that they went for over 900hp ?
