I just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone in the Gateway VCA! As of this week, my wife and I are the newest members of the Gateway club...pending any hazing or other rituals you guys might have for new members I suppose. :)

Is there anything else I need to do in order to get set up with pics/web access on our regional website too? My wife and I met a few people on the river road cruise last year, but are looking forward to keeping up with more events in 2010.

Any other Gateway members on the Illinois side of the river? We're in Troy, IL and could help with organizing a cruise/lunch over here. I saw you guys did a cruise to ****-Gang over here for lunch this year. We know the owner there too...super nice guy. We also know the owners of the Grafton Winery & Brewhaus which would make an excellent stop for lunch and drinks on a river road cruise. It's a great place to go if you've never been. I could probably get reserved parking there for club with enough prior planning.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I'll post a few pics of our two "kids" if I can figure out how to do that. I think I've also got a few pictures from that Fast Eddie's cruise too. I'll have to look.

Looking forward to meeting more of you soon!

Barry & Melissa

I was wondering what happened to you. You're the only SSG in the club... I was on the "Fast Eddies" cruise too.

There will be a planning meeting soon. Hopefully you can make it and schedule your ideas....:2tu:

Yeah, unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to any other events this year. We are hoping to change that in 2010 though. :)

I hit several cruises and car shows on this side of the river though. I also made it over to The Lot Hangout one time and met a guy from the Gateway VCA. Can't remember his name though (sorry), but he had a striped '96 RT/10 with a big sound system in it. They get a pretty good (and seemingly well controlled) crowd there at the church parking lot and offer free food which is always nice. Lots of different types of cars there. Might be a fun place to get some exposure for the club. The Lot if you have never heard of it.

Keep me posted with upcoming Gateway events though!

Hey Barry and Melissa- We've got members from Edwardsville to Effingham on the East side!

We look fwd to seeing you in 2010! Let's plan a little cruise to the Grafton Winery & Brewhaus. Just give me a date!

Cheers,

Welcome to the club. this is a good club, we have some issues with management but for the most part it is a great place to meet.

If you have an issue you'd like to discuss please call me at 314 853 6403. Please also make sure I have your current email address so you can get our newsletter and updated event info! We usually do a couple events per month and I hope to see you soon!

Good to see you at the Xmas party. We all thought you sold your car since you weren't at any events last year and nobody heard from you. Too bad because the "management" worked diligently to organize numerous, and a wide variety of events and functions last year. There was always "something viper club" coming up. I know because I got the award for making the most events. I had a great time with the Gateway club. Got to know a lot of people, a lot better.
Beside all of our regular planned events, this year will be even better with VOI 11.....:drive:

Since you obviously still have your car, hopefully you can make some events this year.

It's a blast, you should try it....:2tu:
