What would you expect the value to be on a 2013 RED srt with black multispoke wheels, black leather interior, in mint condition for a quick sale?!

I saw one of those new listed at $102k this weekend, which seems pretty good IMO. So south of that. Considering their sitting around new, it'd need to be a pretty good discount to warrant getting it "used" for me.

If anything, the gas-guzzler tax and the destination charge should be chopped from the price of a used car. Those are new car buyer problems. I suppose the "right" price is whatever makes you feel happy about the purchase. We as Viper owners shouldn't get into the habit of low-balling ourselves. Look how well that has worked for the Ford GT owners...

Exactly. This car is probably worth $95k FMV and $88k trade in.

No offense to anyone that has a red 2013, but it isn't at the top of my list...
Thats why I didnt even consider this as plan b.. I didnt like the fact they made plenty red srts with track pack and it is sitting on every dealer with nobody intrested!

That is the issue as they are suppose to be the demo cars. The wheels should not stop turning on them. Those 50 should be filling other new car orders not be the car people want anyway. That is why they are sitting.

Yea, I know what you're saying, but it's not necessarily due to it being undesireable. As far as options go ... red is a popular viper color historically (only somewhat cold color was the burgundy-like color), track pack is a great option and no longer available (darn you SRT), and the basic leather upgrade is a nice compromise on interior. I'm seeing ads all over for SRTs and GTSs, even in Maryland with comments like "entertaining offers" from dealers with GTS models. I just don't think the gen5's are moving great right now regardless. If you want a viper and you like red, which is historically very resellable, finding a deal on one of these is not a bad move, but I'd not do used either unless it was irresistable, like $80s, why not spend just a bit more & get new. Timing has been bad, I mean I've been in my '14 model of another car over a month and there are viper '13s still yet to be built. I credit SRT for getting the marketing out there & the mag coverage, but these cars are still stuck on showroom floors ... the ones built so far anyway. Everyone has speculation as to why, but I dunno...

I think it's obvious we'll see '13s sitting thru the fall, if not winter and into '14, with serious deals to be had. I'm not a particular fan of red like I used to be or I'd set my sights on one of these now make some offers. If they were silver or gunmetal, I'd already have one, but I think I'm in the minority on the non-red preference from what I've seen from viper get-togethers, etc.

Well this thread is rather depressing, for some reason I though people were paying over sticker for these.

Anyways I called a few local dealers but none have ANY viper even in stock, but if I can buy a new one for $99k (as mentioned above) you can count me in

If there are any red track pack SRTs still out there, I think soon you'll be able to get decent discounts. It is a $100k liability that has been sitting on lots for 3 months now...

If you want it, buy it, drive it, and never look back. I'll take every extra day of driving my fine car. Don't forget unless you are full cash buyer, your trade in is synching in value while you are trying to save a buck - YOLO.
