Just read 2017 will be the death of the viper, again!
Couple of questions, how accurate is the latest rumor?
Heard (I know) a supercharger will be offered . T or F?

Simple answer ....it is over. Certain EPA and safety ( read airbag ) changes make it too costly to continue. History repeats itself , the Big Block is dead again!!

Enough of this rumor. Doesn't matter to me, I've got mine and it's not going anywhere...

There's still time for anyone that wants one to get one.

Kind of the same thing when Honda announced they would stop building Minitrails.

I still have my 1971 and still ride it...Viper will be no different.

Now when someone announces the end of gasoline......I'll panic.

I won't argue that it won't come back, but the big V10 and the Snake we love is over in 2017. Too legendary name not to be reborn ( like the Hemi), but likely on a smaller lighter platform with turbos and much smaller displacement.

Hope the demise of Viper would lead to a radical re-design of the brand and come back stronger for the next generation of viper enthusiasts much like the story of the Iconic Ford GT 40 revival. Viper has a loyal following of enthusiasts over the years. Sad to see production of Gen V Viper end.

I'm curious to see what types of "final editions" they are gonna offer. Hope they go out with a bang.

I am sure SRT/Dodge will come up with some pleasant surprises , and would imagine we can order 2017s later this month or next if things follow previous year's patterns?!
