My problem is that I installed the 2004 engine and trans in a hot rod project and don't have the ABS or other sensors. I wanted to tap directly into the pulse generator for a signal for the speedometer. Here is a link to my project car. Thanks!
I am trying to figure out which pin on the connector has the pulse from the speed sensor for the speedometer. I have attached a picture of the plug and sensor. I am going to use an aftermarket speedometer that has a wire that needs to pick up the pulse. Thank you very much for any help! I...
Thanks. The sender looks similar to the stock sender with the same threads. I was hoping there was a removable plug somewhere, but it sounds like drilling and tapping will be necessary.
I have installed a 2004 Viper engine in a 1959 Plymouth and after 3 years almost have the project drivable. :rolaugh: I now am installing aftermarket gauges (Stewart Warner Maximum Performance) and can't figure out where to mount the sender for the water temp gauge. It says not to wire it into...
I have installed a 2004 Viper engine and transmission in my 1959 Plymouth :D and am fixing a wiring harness to make the engine run stand-alone. Does anyone have the shop manual picture of the Speed Sensor Pin-out for the Tremec transmission speed sensor for a 2004 Viper? The sensor in the...
That's what my speed sensor looks like. Does anyone know what colors the wires are to the plug? I think in the wiring section of the manual in the Pin Out section it shows a picture of the plug and tells the color of the wires going to the plug.
Thanks!

I just contacted DC Performance and they said they didn't make the engine harness.
OOPS, this wasn't DC performance. I haven't heard back from them yet.
I sent some pictures to Hammrhead. I am to the point where I now can install the harness. Is DC Performance the place to get one made or are there any other sources? Thanks, Jim
I just installed a Gen 3 engine in my old Plymouth and was hooking up the original wiring harness and computer when a friend of mine told me it would never work. I was told I needed to get a stand alone racing harness. I have done a search and found many of these for sale for GM applications...
That seems to make sense. What I think I will do is hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge and try to get it started. If it seems to run OK I will go with the analog gauges. If possible I would like to just use the Viper harness for the engine and use the original Plymouth wiring for...
Dan, sorry I wasn't clearer with my question. I am installing a 2004 Ram Viper engine and transmission in a 1959 Plymouth. The engine is complete with all accessories, sensors, and wiring intact. I have all of the wiring from under the hood including the computer and fuse-box module. The...
