I prefer to be my own tech (to a point) I'd like to know how in depth the service manuals are before a waste $140.00 on a book that just tells me how to change the oil.
I'm in N.W. Ohio, The dealers in my area have never seen a Viper, let alone work on one. I have some technical questions on replacing the rear diff. on a 2004. Anybody there,that actually works on their own, that can help me with this procedure? Are all gen III the same stock gear ratio?
I am going to replace with an OEM shaft.
I know I should probably upgrade after reading numerous posts with the same problem, But as I've read, the upgraded shafts also break. I guess I agree with one post that said the half shaft acts a shear pin. I don't know how much a trans cost to replace...
