    Gen 4 shifter lever/stick and handle replacement

    I am a fan of the old school pistol grip shifters, I just removed the shifter, cut the stock handle and welded on what I wanted. By the time you get an adaptor, bolt on an aftermarket shifter you might find that the shifter is getting too tall.

    Today I put on all my gear and harness to make sure I could reach all the controls. We will probably move the seat back further and down if we are able to. It's snug where it's at but workable if we can't move the seat.

    We know the rear is heavier at this point but won't know numbers until we scale it after it's finished. A lot of rear mid engine cars have a weight bias toward the rear wheels.     We haven't put it on the scales as of yet but it will weigh more than a typical stock Viper. It has a lot of weight added to the rear to include intercoolers, turbos, about 6 gallons of oil, 32 gals of water, fire bottles, nitrous bottles and more. Weight doesn't hurt me in land speed events...

    It seems that the oil leaks at the turbos has been fixed, combination of the pressure regulators and drain tank did the trick. I'm not sure on the oil viscosity, but I will ask Gearhead about that. We do warm the oil up by letting the car idle before any pulls on dyno are done. It holds about 7...
