Will SRT's Marketing Department Kill the Viper Brand?

Ah yes, let's listen in on Luca de Montezemolo's words of wisdom ... [ringtone "Woman" by Wolf Mother perturbs the atmosphere at La Pergola] LdM: [glances at caller ID] [facepalm, heavy sigh] [answers anyway] Pronto. RG: Yo Luca, it's Ralph. Got a minute? LdM: Ah, wait one. [looks...

A dealership that is calling it Dodge SRT Viper...

To be fair, when you click on View Window Sticker, the cyber-sticker says "Dodge SRT Viper," although the paper sticker on the car itself doesn't. For 30k over, I suppose they can call it whatever they want.

GEN V featured in Nescafe Clasico commercial

We should get this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzfVT6j_1dY Ought to be easy, since obviously Brick Tamland is in charge of Viper marketing.

Saying bye and giving an apology

Exactly. Maybe even a lightly optioned SRT Viper, but a GTS would be a bit much to expect. Or a Dart, since everybody says the interior is just the same as a Viper. hm. Anyway, Chrysler is missing an opportunity to sell its products to a captive audience. When my Corvette 1LT base coupe...

Looks like the next Vette Hi Po Z07? Will have a twin Turbo?

Boxer12 said it was junk. I sure wish I too had so much money that I too could call a $100k+ ZR1 cheap. But no, I didn't take anything personally, thank you. "Junk" and "cheap" imply unreliability. Again, ask the guys who run C6s on tracks and instruct in them all day if "junk" and "cheap"...

Looks like the next Vette Hi Po Z07? Will have a twin Turbo?

Carscoops seems to be expert at speculation, like those who assured us the C7 would have a twin-turbo V6 and nanosteel frame. Hi-po C7s are already almost here, sort of--Callaway dealers are now taking deposits for supercharged C7s that will definitely make over 600hp, coupe or convertible...

2013 SRT Viper Review - Kelley Blue Book

"Electronics CAN fix stupid!" Very good review that summed up what it's about in a few minutes, and acknowledges that some people may be happier in other cars, depending on what poster you had on your wall. When talking about the GT-R I thought he described its main quality as "tackiness" but...

    Gen V ACR performance speculation...

aieeee, no! I already have to eat from the dollar menu for the next 30,000 meals to afford a regular Viper and you want to make that 60,000? 6:50 should be possible for way closer to 150 than 250.

Reached the tipping point: the stock 2013 exhaust interior dB level is unacceptable

Re: Reached the tipping point: the stock 2013 exhaust interior dB level is unacceptab Good thinking. Once your hearing is gone, try getting it back! In aviation mechanic school, I was the only one who wore earpro in metal shop, since rivet guns are loud enough to ring your ears a little...

    2013 Owner's Manual

Gee thanks. Glad to hear Vipers are so much fun from the moment they hatch!

    SRT dealer format deciding factor

This shouldn't happen much to Vipers or any modern cars, if they're driven often and properly maintained. I drive my lowly Corvette to the dealer 100 miles away instead of the one 35 miles away because the further-away one works on a lot more Corvettes. Our friendly local...

    2013 Owner's Manual

Wow thanks. This is the real one, not the condensed version at driveSRT. Now I know how to open the fuel door both the regular way and the emergency way. Maureen! Pictures, for God's sake! It's been hours!

2014 SRT Viper site is up.

Having gotten a good look at both a GP and a black/GP stripes, I have to say GP is nearly black and nearly impossible to show accurately on a dinky computer screen. It's one of those shades that you really need to see in person, both indoors and in sunshine, to decide whether you want it.
