Does someone know Centerforce DF985985 - Centerforce Dual Friction Clutches ?
It is the only one available here, but I am afraid it could be not reliable.
Thank you for your quick reply.
I would prefer to know the experience of some people who have used the parts on track, before I ask a vendor, who wants to sell the parts.
Hello,
I want to change clutch, flywheel and complete clutch hydraulics now.
What do you recommend for SRT-10 engine and gearbox out of Dodge RAM year 2004 in BMW Z4 Coupe?
Driving: Drift and track (no comfort needed but should be robust and reliable)
Total weight: 1400 kg / 3000 lb (rear...
Hello,
does anybody know how the standard brake software can be set?
With the Bosch KTS 670 computer I can see the number of teeth for the rear-axle differential as the ABS but I can not change it.
The ABS including software is from Dodge RAM SRT-10, which is used in a BMW Z4 now.
The...
The hydraulics still does not work correct.
I think best solution would be a complete hydraulic upgrade kit.
Which Upgrade Kit should I take?
The kit from Roer Racing seems to be good: http://www.roeracing.com/productcart/pc/Clutch-Hydraulics-Upgrade-Kit-04-06-Dodge-SRT-10-Ram-p395.htm
any...
Thank you.
Always the straight tip :headbang:
I will do so this week and hope it will fix the problem.
Otherwise take out and change everything, like Roysviper said.
Thank you for the detailed information.
If I have to change the slave cylinder, I will also change everything else. Good idea. :2tu:
But I suspect, that it is not possible to get the gearbox out separately, as there is not so much space in the Z4.
Of course we will try this first.
Could...
Sorry, I did not understand very well, what you mean.
I use Castrol TWS 10W60.
Oil pressure is very constantly at 72 psi from 800 up to 6000 rpm (checked with Bosch KTS)
With slightly increased spring pressure in the oil pump it goes up to 82 or 92 PSI.
Pressure varies about 1 or 2 PSI...
Thank you all for the replies.
Did not see any leaks but the brake fluid was a little bit low.
The master cylinder is OK.
Will check with the endoscope camera on Monday, if there is any leaking inside.
I hope the slave cylinder is still OK.
To change it we would have to take out the engine...
After testing the car on track for some short stints the clutch got softer and softer until it did not work completely.
Today we checked again.
First the clutch was working, not very well, but it was working.
After about 10 minutes with running engine it was the same problem again...
For some tests with the remote oil filter and its over pressure valve, I had increased the oil pressure.
As this is simple and steady I thought of increasing the oil pressure permanently from 72 to 82 or 92 PSI.
Did anybody do this before and what was the result?
