Anyone try the short shift drop kits?
Got it. a little WD40, put it in 6th gear and a 18mm straight wrench did the trick. took her out for a quick spin to the grocery store...the 2 inch drop is perfect...shifts feel good...$34 well spent.- NorthernSnake

Talk about bringing a thread back from the dead. I'm installing the 2'' shifter shaft shortener kit from parts rack and i'm having the damnedest time getting the stock isolator off. If SRT really listened to what we wanted....
Anyone who thinks they should have jumped 100hp between models is smoking crack. The 2001 lamborghini diablo 6.0's had 575hp. When the murcielago came out in 2002 it had....580hp!!! a jump of a whole 5HP! the same can be pointed out of the ferrari 355 to the 360, porshces...pretty much...- NorthernSnake

New Viper is huge letdown
Thread starter...your off your rocker. The car is a home run! (I admit i would have liked 650-700hp...but they can't give you everything in the first model year...think of the improvements that will come in the next 7 years!!!) Under a $million$ the new Viper and the Aventador pretty much...- NorthernSnake

When do you plan on selling your Viper? Or are you keeping it forever.
Its a forever car to me. 10-20-30+ years from now it will have its place in the shop next to many other amazing cars and bikes. bought it in 2009 with 12k on it...now she just passed 34k.- NorthernSnake

I couldnt get my calipers off.. :mad:
I had to change a wheel stud months ago...strangely on my 02 there was no slot for the stud to come out of so i had to remove the callipers and wheel hub to remove it. Leverage is your friend. I didn't use any penetrating oil...and i'm not a fan of impact (hammers and the like)...i would just...- NorthernSnake

Vancouver to Palm Springs and back again.
Google says its 2225 kilometres (1390 miles) each way. Took the wife, two dogs (chihuahua & our border collie!), and three duffel bags (standard luggage for our viper road trips) and headed south.
