Recommended brand of short throw shifter?

MGW all the way, I had one on my previous car ('04 Cobra) and it was the best shifter I've ever had. It made the 2-3 upshift flawless everytime and every shift felt more positive. I never missed a gear with the MGW, I missed the 2-3 upshift a couple of times on the stock Cobra shifter. MGW is...

    DLM Paxton Question

Doug Levin has a great reputation as the best tuner in South FL and one of the most knowledgable tuners in the country. I vouch for his work and will be taking my car in for a little forced induction fun. PS: the lastest rumor is he is working on a Twin Turbo SRT kit, check out the site.

Gas Guzzler Tax Viper Vs. Challenger

I would go a step farther and say that the SRT Viper would get all around better fuel economy than the new Challenger if you have a low restriction exhaust and intake installed on the Viper.

LMAO! Should have his license revoked, what a scrub...

    K&N

The 14 HP gain comes from K&N'c Cold air intake for the SRT. Most see an 8-10 RWHP gain using the K&N cold air intake. The filters alone should be good for 5 hp if stock and 10 hp with supporting mods such as exhaust. The K&N filters and the green filters are pretty much the same. K&N is...

    Gen 3 oil change tips

On my 06 coupe, after draining all the old oil, I used 10 qts on my first oil change, gave it plenty of time to settle down. When I measured, it was slightly over the full indicator, maybe a 1/16" over. I drove home, let it cool down, measured again and it was just over the full indicator. I...

    Brake Pad Life

I haven't driven mine hard enough or long enough to know how long the pads last, but I would speculate that if your not constantly slamming the brakes at 150mph+ and you don't track the car, they should last 25K-35K miles before obvious wear is noticed.

    LO-TIRE light

Did you measure the pressure with warm tires or cool tires? If your tires were warm when you measured them, then the pressure dropped a lot when the tires cooled off and it would read low tire after they cooled off. Measure and inflate your tires with the tires cool. If that does not work then...

    Reading between the lines....

Re: The axe is coming Let the Viper Era come to an end and watch the value of your car increase in just a couple years. Then with the money you make from selling your Viper, you can get a 201X sports car with all the great technology that will become available. Pretty soon, every sports car...

An already rare color combination just made even rarer...

A little bit of bond-o and the rest should buff right out... What's left of that car should have sold for no more than $18K.

Hey , where did the blown motor thread go?????????

I went to check it today and it got deleted by the moderator. I was having a lot of fun as well. Your friend V10KingSnake is a riot, I love catching him in his lies on a public thread. It throws his credibility right out the window.

    Question for FLA owners,,,

I've lived in FLA my whole life and none of my cars have never had the weather affect how the bare metal parts of my cars look. However I do have some of my friends who live in the keys and closer to the beach who own older cars. I have noticed some rust under these cars, mostly chasis and...

Looking for feedback on Hoosier 345/19

I am looking for a track tire for the stock-sized 19 inch rim on my 06 coupe. I need a sticky rear tire and I'm not willing to sabatoge my parking brake in order to make way for an 18" rim. The stickiest tire I can find are the Hoosiers. I want some feedback on these tires. I intend to use them...

    Need traction help

Mike, I don't think there is a slick for 19" but they do have the Hoosier A and R compound which I think will hook a lot better than any other 19" currently offered. I just wonder if that tire is too much for the stock suspension. I don't think changing just tires at the track would be a problem.
