Awesome, thanks. The tech at my dealer tore my flag when he was raising the window after fixing the window regulator :( I never had a problem with it, I don't know what he did differently.
I need a replacement passenger-side one of these: (yes, this is a driver side picture ). Currently Dodge shows it as ZZ status, which I understand to mean "good luck getting a new one from us for a long, long time." Anyone have a source for new?
I never looped back here to close this but it turned out it was a ground problem, but with a twist.
I said the car failed to start and after I opened & closed the trunk it started successfully. Puzzling, and I was ready to start tracing the electrical system. It turns out the negative cable...
It's not raining here in Seattle.
I had a set of run flats, if someone thought they could use them I'd have been happy to see if we could arrange to get the tires to them rather than recycle them. Being 8 years old and 18k miles I doubted anyone was interested (as the crickets chirping here...
I've got a set of original 2004 run-flats (just the tires) with 18k miles that are coming off this week (replacing with PSS). If anyone is interested in them let me know and we'll see what we can work out. Just drop me a PM. I'm in the Seattle area.
Ok thanks, I'll check out my cables and take a look at the battery voltage. For the ignition off draw test what kind of current should I expect? And I think the way you test that is with a milliamp meter between the disconnected negative cable and the negative battery terminal?
The battery is a year old, two tops, and I had just disconnected it from a trickle charger that day. I think the connectors are in good shape, just the usual light powdery build up. Though if I've got a short perhaps maybe I'm draining faster than I should be also. Car started fine after...
I've had this on-again off-again problem for a little while, haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet, but I may have some new info so trying again...
2004 SRT - very rarely when I try to start the car, upon pressing Start the ignition system will make a rapid loud clicking sound and the car will...
... any thoughts on what might be the cause? Plugged it into my 2004 truck, the reader powers up and scans fine. Plug it into the Viper, no joy. Nothing on the reader display, nada. Car running or not, doesn't matter. Perhaps a tech didn't reconnect something last time I had it in?
Seemed like 11 flashes to me. Odometer is set to total mileage.
I think right now it's just telling me that it's recalibrating parameters after a full power disconnect. Prior to the full power disconnect I was getting a CEL so want to be ready to read it if it happens again.
I tried to use this reader last weekend to pull some codes:
Equus 3120 - CanOBD 2&1 Tool KitTM | O'Reilly Auto Parts
and it wouldn't read anything on my 2004. The operating procedure was to plug it in, turn the car to on and press the -><- button on the reader, but then it just shuts down...
