I posted on this months ago, but one big point is that the engines are much lighter than the typical Merc big block, particularly ones with blowers. Also, at 600 FT/LB the torque is very good for a 505 CI engine. Both these things are very important in a lightweight cat. I just saw more...- SRTRICK

To me, the view forward over the fenders of the SRT-10 looked remarkably like the view over the fenders of my 1970 Corvette Convert, so it doesn't surprise me that the front of the SRT and C6 would look similar if the C3 was supposed to be the inspiration. How's a 3000 pound Viper sound....
Re: How\'s a 3000 pound Viper sound.... I just looked at the Carrara GT specs posted earlier and at 3042#, if you leave the tops at home & pull the spare tire, you're under #3000. Also, 600+ HP out of 350 cu in is pretty good.- SRTRICK

Why does "Road & Track" bash the Viper?

I don't think the Porsche would run away and hide from the Viper, but 560? horsepower, mid engine handling and ceramic composite brakes should be enough to take a Viper. SRT-10 Seat lowering kit???
One thing I wondered about is if the seat will move forward due to the slope of the bulkhead behind the seat. it would seem that as the seat moves down, it will also have to be located slightly forward of it's rearmost stock location.
