Where have we landed on side sill/cabin temp resolution?

I went Corsa and Belanger HFC, and then tried going catless. The sound was worse, drone was worse, the smell was worse, and the overall tone of the car was loud, but not really pleasant. I prefer the high flow cats on it personally. Then I again, I also trimmed a bunch off the car to have lower...

Where have we landed on side sill/cabin temp resolution?

From what I've read the three main recommendations are catless pipes, cutting some slits in the sills, and upgrading the heat shielding. Since my OEM heat shielding was missing, I did the heat shielding. Sticky shield on the sills/body, and heat armor on the pipes. On a 90 degree day driving an...

9005 vs 9006 Bulbs: What Are the Real Differences?

^ I think that's more of an issue of misaligned low beams more than anything. I recently spent a few months trying different LED bulbs and fog light options and it's pretty easy to misalign the low beams and fog led's. The oem fog lights yes, the led's I had initially in the OEM light threw...

    Insurance Question

Hagerty wanted $1600 for $65k agreed value for me in MD. Going off another Viper owners recommendation, I went with State Farm Classic agreed value for same amount with same driving restrictions for $360 a year. Today I get a letter that they're combining with Hagerty when my renewal comes...

Cat Back options - where to buy?

Jon B was recommended to me for these and where I got mine. Calling him works best. http://www.viperpartsrackamerica.com/

How much of a financial “burden” has your GTS been?

True, it's been a bit more than expected. That being said, I've looked forward to this car for 3 decades. I wanted it in basically new shape and every upgrade required more upgrades to make it more livable. Simple things like wiring the backup camera in the RT10 was a big PIA since the trunk is...

How much of a financial “burden” has your GTS been?

IMO, they're 25+ year old cars so you can either find one really well kept and maintained and pay up front, or aim for a driver and upgrade everything old along the way. After looking at a few garage queens, I decided they're all old anyways and in a time of $40-50k RT10's, I paid low 30's for...

New 99 RT/10 owner, few questions on issues/coilovers.

A few more updated pics. Over the winter I finally splurged on the 285/30/19 345/30/19 tires I knew would set the look right. I really wished Michelin would put out the PS5 or PS4S to replace the PSS, but doing more research the PSS have a wider tread and thus less round sidewall, so even though...

    Radiator fan upgrade.

For anyone who is looking into this, the OEM gen 2 is pretty much unobtanium. My 99's went out last month and I spent a week sourcing through a bunch of used ones for $500-1100. The only OEM style one available new was $1400 plus shipping. If you haven't done radiator yet(I had) it may be more...

    Making a purchase. Gen 1 or 2.

You could easily get a gen 2 RT10 for cheap and have the best of both worlds. You get windows, top, AC, more power, better chassis etc, yet still far cheaper than GTS money. RT10 is more thrilling at all speeds IMO but less practical.

Which gearing is the best all around…3:55 or 3:73 (1997 GTS)

I have the 355/30/19's on my rear also with stock gearing and both performance wise and visually it kind of bothers me, so rather than jumping straight to gears I'd like to go to 345/30/19's first. Bummed there is no 335/30/19. My question would be if anyone sells a straight diff swap, or if...

    Gen 2 headlight replacement recommendations

Depends on the HID bulb. Look up the bulb type and search recent comparisons on YouTube. Generally the higher end Osram, Phillips, etc test the best.

    Backup Camera Recommendations

Initially the shop wired it coming out the underside by the frame and then into the trunk, but that quickly melted the wire near the header. Then they wired it correctly through the interior under the center console and then back to where the wire look connects from the cabin into the trunk...
